Treatment should be avoided on broken skin, open wounds, active infections, severe cystic or pustular lesions, sunburned or severely inflamed skin, or areas that have recently undergone surgery or advanced procedures such as laser treatments, chemical peels, microneedling, waxing, or electrolysis. Ultrasound is also not recommended for clients with reduced sensation, nerve damage, fever, active illness, or sensitivity to heat.
