The Surface Renewal Treatment may be scheduled every 4–8 weeks, depending on the skin’s condition, tolerance, home-care routine and response to exfoliation.
Steam is omitted during the initial treatment so the skin’s response to the enzyme system can be carefully observed. During future appointments, steam is used only when appropriate and comfortably tolerated.
A patch test behind the ear may be recommended before the first treatment to check for itching, redness or discomfort. Treatment intensity and frequency are adjusted according to the skin’s response.
